CHELSEA READY OFFER TO SIGN SEVILLA DEFENDER JULES KOUNDE

According to Marco Conterio, Chelsea are preparing an official bid worth €60 million for Jules Kounde after being pushed back in the pursuit of Matthijs de Ligt. The French international has been on the Blues’ radar for over twelve months, and a move could finally materialise. Chelsea’s search for a solid central defender has become complicated on many fronts. Thomas Tuchel desperately needs new members in the defensive unit after losing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen on free transfers to Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.

Tuchel wants a player who could balance the equation at the heart of the Chelsea defence, as he cannot go into the season with his current options. The German manager has chased Kounde as his primary target for over a year, and Chelsea could return to Sevilla with an offer. After much deliberation, the Blues started the summer transfer window by enquiring about Kounde before switching their attention towards Juventus’s Matthijs de Ligt. Salomon Kalou Has Dyed His Hair Blonde and Bulked Up

 

Salomon Kalou is one of the four players from 2012 Chelsea’s Champions League final starting XI to still stay active. However, fans might not be able to recognize him. The 3-7 year forward of Ivory Coast has taken to Instagram recently to show off his new bleach-blonde hair and bulked-up body as he signed for his 7th club.

Olivier Giroud explains key reason behind Chelsea move

Olivier Giroud has admitted that he took the opportunity to join Chelsea from rivals Arsenal after holding a brief communication with manager Antonio Conte. The France international was initially tipped to join Borussia Dortmund in a deal involving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but he ended up inking an 18-month with the Premier League holders.

As a result, Michy Batshuayi was permitted to join Dortmund on loan to complete a transfer merry-go-round between three clubs, and Giroud is obviously content to have joined a massive club, where he is hoping to achieve further success in the backend of his career.

Chelsea needs to replace Hazard

Former Chelsea player Salomon Kalou has stated that Chelsea needs to replace Eden Hazard if they want to challenge for trophies next season. He said that Hazard is a world-class player and that it will be difficult for Chelsea to find a like for like replacement for the Belgium international.

He said that not only they will have to replace their best player they will also need to find a new manager after the departure of Sarri.

Salomon Kalou said that it is important that an appointment is made as quickly as possible so that the manager can have enough time to build a team to compete in the Premier League. The former Chelsea player that Chelsea runs the risk of falling behind teams such as Tottenham Hotspurs, Manchester United and even Arsenal if they do not invest in new players.

He believes that at the moment there is not a single player that can replace Eden Hazard and that they will have to use this money wisely in order to strengthen the team.

There are rumors that Frank Lampard will be the one that will manage Chelsea next season. Salomon Kalou said that Lampard is a really good person as a player but he still has to prove himself at the highest level. He said that there are plenty of rebuilding to be done at Chelsea and it is important that you have an experienced manager in this situation.

He said that the Chelsea team is really behind teams such as Liverpool and Manchester City and that they will need more than one transfer window if they want to catch up these teams in terms of development. For him, it is important that a manager is appointed as quickly as possible to help the team progress.
